Nash Community College is proud to recognize the dedication and achievement of our employees who completed the Wayne and Nash Community College Leadership Development Program in December 2024. This year-long program, a collaboration among the Belk Center, Wayne Community College, and Nash Community College, was designed to enhance the skills and knowledge of college personnel, further preparing them for effective leadership in higher education.
“NCC remains proud of its longstanding partnership with the Belk Center,” said Dr. Lew K. Hunnicutt, president of NCC. “We assisted them in coming up with the leadership training in partnership with Wayne Community College.”
Throughout the 12-month experience, participants engaged in a blend of in-person and virtual sessions, tackling both technical and social-emotional aspects of leadership. They completed leadership-enhancing assignments, collaborated with colleagues, and designed a capstone project. The capstone project provided a culminating opportunity to apply newly honed skills toward enhancing an area impacting classrooms or departments.
Congratulations to our graduates for their commitment to professional growth and leadership excellence! Their dedication to learning and innovation will positively impact our students, colleagues, and institution for years to come.
