The goals of the Child Development Center are to provide quality early education for children six weeks to five years of age and to serve as a model training program for Nash Community College students and the community. Parents are recognized and valued as active members of the Center’s team.
All Staff hold an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education or a related field or the North Carolina Early Childhood Credential. Our Staff attends conferences, workshops, and training for continued staff development. Advanced degrees are encouraged and supported among our staff. In addition, students from Early Childhood Education and Nursing Programs at Nash Community College also intern at the center. Teacher Assistants and student interns provide additional adult to child interaction.
