The annual Nash Community College Photo Contest, an initiative led by the President’s office under the direction of Dr. Lew K. Hunnicutt, successfully wrapped up with a record-breaking number of entries. With more than 70 submissions, the contest tripled in size compared to previous years, showcasing the growing talent and creativity of both students and employees at NCC.
This year, the contest recognized six winners across three categories: Architectural, General and Nature/Landscape. Due to the increased number of entries, the decision was made to award three winners from both the student and employee categories.
Employee Winners:
- Kimberly Evans – Architectural – “The Pi Perspective”
- Angelica Roberts – General – “Spring Forward”
- Angelica Roberts – Nature/Landscape – “Bee You tiful”
Student Winners:
- Harley Spires – Architectural – “An Angle of Pi”
- Ethan Harrell – General – “Jack of All Trades”
- Ethan Harrell – Nature/Landscape – “A Great Place to Ponder”
NCC President Dr. Hunnicutt, expressed his enthusiasm for the growing participation: “The increase in entries this year was an exciting reflection of the creativity and talent we have within our NCC community. With over 70 submissions, it was an easy decision to increase the number of winners to six. We are incredibly proud of the remarkable work submitted by our students and employees, and we look forward to continuing this tradition of celebrating artistic expression.”
All current winners, along with those from the previous year, are displayed in the Dallas Herring Atrium of the Business & Industry Center, where they can be viewed by students, faculty, staff and visitors.
