NCC Food Pantry & Serenity Room
NCC provides a variety of options and opportunities available to students who may be experience times of need. The Student Engagement Office and Student Wellness Center provide services to the on-campus Food Pantry and Serenity Room, and much more. All you have to do is reach out to an NCC Team Member or Instructor.
Food Pantry
NCC provides an on-campus Food Pantry to assist students experiencing food insecurity or other basic needs challenges. These resources are free and confidential. All you have to do is stop by the Student Wellness Center or Student Engagement office to learn more or to access assistance for you and your family. Both of these contacts can be found below.
The Food Pantry offers a variety of shelf-stable groceries and meal items such as Pop-Tarts, breakfast bars, pasta, pasta sauce, cereal, Chef Boyardee items, soups, canned vegetables, mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, peanut butter, jelly, rice, canned tuna, etc. These are all available free of charge to our students.
Serenity Room
This space is designed to support an inclusive environment, focused on the wellness of the mind, body, and soul. This project is student-driven and fully supported by the college administration.
Reservations
This room can be reserved by any currently enrolled students and employees at Nash Community College.
The room may be reserved for 30-minute increments.
Reservations can be made by emailing kcdeans568@nashcc.edu
The Serenity Room may be reserved in small groups of no more than four individuals at one time.
Room Guidelines
Do not remove any items from the room.
You may use your phone for reflection, meditation, prayer, or emergency purposes.
Please be mindful of volume levels in the room.
Please leave the room in the best condition possible.
NCC is not responsible for any lost items left behind.
Not Permitted
No food or beverages in the room.
No candles, burning oils, incense, or any other flammable items in the room.
No posters, signs, or other displays are to be placed inside or outside the room at any time.
