Nash Community College Highlights High-Quality Child Development Center

Nash Community College is proud to spotlight one of its most valuable resources for working families and students, the Betsy B. Currin Child Development Center.

Located on campus and fully licensed by the North Carolina Division of Child Development and Early Education, the Center provides nurturing, high-quality care and education for children ages six weeks through five years.

Designed with working parents and student success in mind, the Center offers full-day care Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM. With an emphasis on child-centered learning, the curriculum promotes physical, emotional, cognitive and social development through structured activities, outdoor play, and individualized attention.

In addition to serving as a vital community resource, the center is staffed by highly qualified early childhood professionals and serves as a model lab school for the College’s Early Childhood Education program. This hands-on learning environment allows future educators to gain real-world experience while maintaining high standards of care for enrolled children.
