Nash Community College Career Fair Connects Hundreds of Job Seekers and Employers

Nash Community College hosted its Fall 2025 Career Fair on Tuesday, October 28, welcoming more than 280 participants and over 60 employers from across the region. The event provided students, alumni, and community members an opportunity to explore career opportunities, network with employers, and learn about current hiring needs in high-demand industries.

Employers represented a diverse range of sectors including healthcare, advanced manufacturing, business, public safety, technology and education. Representatives from both local and regional organizations were on-site conducting interviews, sharing information and building connections with potential candidates.

“This event reflects Nash Community College’s continued commitment to preparing students not only for graduation, but for meaningful employment and long-term success,” said Dr. Wendy Cook, vice president of student services at NCC. “Our career fairs provide a direct link between education and opportunity. This is essential in helping students, graduates and community members take the next step in their professional journey.”

NCC’s mission is to meets students where they are and prepare them for successful and rewarding careers in a global and diverse society.

“We are proud to see so many employers and participants come together in one space,” said Peter Singletary, Jr., career services coordinator at NCC. “Our goal is to help students and job seekers gain confidence, expand their professional networks and connect with local businesses that are eager to hire skilled and motivated talent.”

Throughout the day, participants met one-on-one with recruiters, discovered internship and full-time job openings, and learned about employer expectations in the current labor market.
