Nash Community College is providing awareness to students and prospective learners that the college offers strong, affordable college and university transfer pathways designed to help students begin locally and complete a bachelor’s degree at a four-year institution.
Through comprehensive University Transfer programs, NCC provides a cost-effective and supportive way for students to complete their first two years of college before transferring to a public or private university in North Carolina and beyond.
NCC’s transfer programs align with the Comprehensive Articulation Agreement (CAA) through the North Carolina Community College System (NCCCS), ensuring credits earned at NCC transfer smoothly toward bachelor’s degree programs.
Transfer-Focused Academic Pathways
Students can pursue transfer degrees that prepare them for a wide range of majors, including business, education, health sciences, social sciences and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) fields. Available transfer degrees include”
- Associate in Arts (AA)
- Associate in Science (AS)
- Associate in Engineering (AE)
These programs allow students to stay on track academically while benefiting from smaller class sizes, individualized support and lower tuition.
University Transfer Partnerships and Guaranteed Pathways
NCC maintains strong partnerships with four-year institutions to provide students with clear, supported and affordable pathways to bachelor’s degrees. Current transfer agreements and partnerships include:
- Barton College – RN-to-BSN pathway
- North Carolina Wesleyan University (NCWU)
- RN-to-BSN program
- Accelerated Associate-to-Master’s Program (two degrees and two certificates in approximately 2.5 years)
- Nash County Education Network Partnership, offering a high school-to-NCC-to-NCWU pathway with a tuition cap of $20,000 total for both an NCC associate degree and an NCWU bachelor’s degree
